How to check your driving license status with NTSA Kenya.This is a procedure for how to check your DL status using NTSA App or SMS in Kenya. NTSA started rolling out the new generation smart driving license in April 2018. The new Improved NTSA smart digital driving license permits a Driver to drive the classes in the DL .The New DL looks almost like the National ID and contain personal details including your Blood Group. In addition, it has a secure computer chip containing the motorist’s information, which will only be readable through unique electronic gadgets owned and managed by NTSA officials.
How to check your driving license status with NTSA Kenya
Send a message with the national driver identification number at 25400 in the following format:
DL1234567111
For a PSV Night Travel License
Send a message from the registration number of the motor vehicle to 25400 in the following format:
NT KX 123X
This will give the status of the vehicle’s overnight travel license.
For the inspection of motor vehicles
Send a message from the registration number of the motor vehicle to 25400 in the following format:
OP 123456711

For PSV SACCO/Enterprise License
Send the name of the company PSV/SACCO to number 25400 in the following format:
SACCO followed by the name SACCO/Name of company
For the details of the road service license
Send a message from the registration number of the motor vehicle to 25400 in the following format
RSL KXX 123X
It is now easier to check for your driving license’s validity online by going to the NTSA eCitizen website. You will be asked for your National ID number and other demographic data.
